The project will involve using data science tools to extract, study and understand large climate geo-spatial-temporal bigdata, identify patterns and devise learning algorithms for future prediction. At Climformatics, we are building localized climate prediction tools for predicting variables like temperature, rainfall, drought index, fire-weather one year ahead of time. This lead time gives stakeholders time to prepare and protect their businesses and thus mitigate their climate driven catastrophe risks. The students will be learning to work on IBM Watson Studio platform, mostly in python, and jupyter notebook. They will learn to use and build APIs and other interactive tools to extract and upload data using database management. Please look at our website www.climformatics.com and see our demo video.
