Data Collaboratives Fellow
Discovery Program

I’m a fourth year Data Science major. I am interested in the application of data science for environmental and social impact. I first joined the Discovery Program in Spring 2019, working with Mercy Corps to develop a remote sensing application for predicting the spread of Fall Armyworm, an invasive pest which has devastated crops in Sub-Saharan Africa.

In Fall 2019, I began managing projects in a collaboration between the Discovery Program and the West Big Data Innovation Hub. These projects included an initiative to organize and facilitate the distribution of donations in response to disasters, an automated system to remove arsenic from water, and a study of water infrastructure and quality in response to California wildfires. This semester, in addition to the above projects, I am managing several others studying water quality, air quality, environmental justice, and more.
