The second annual National Workshop on Data Science Education drew more than 60 educators from a variety of institutions across the US, as well as Argentina, Brazil, Australia, the United Kingdom, and China. The workshop, developed around Berkeley's innovative undergraduate “Foundations of Data Science” curriculum and accompanying offerings, was held at Chou Hall from June 24-27.

Data 8 co-creator and UC Berkeley Statistics professor Ani Adhikari

"I wanted to come back to share what I learned, see how I can contribute back, get unanswered questions answered."

"This was a great opportunity to come learn across the entire spectrum: K-12, community colleges, undergraduate teaching institutions, R1 research institutions. "

"Every university, we are traveling through this same path of how to manage this data revolution."

"Talking to the other faculty...those conversations around how to introduce it to our departments, how to make an institutional change has been very, very valuable."
